Investor Education and Information Document

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a mandatory process for investing in mutual funds in India, as per SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) Regulation, 1996. It helps verify the identity and address of investors to prevent fraud, money laundering, and financial crimes.

Individual:

Physical KYC form for Individual
PAN Card (Mandatory for all investors)
Proof of Address (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Utility Bill, etc.)
Recent Passport-size Photograph
NRI/ PIO/ OCI: Copy of Passport, PIO Card, OCI Card and overseas proof of address

Non- Individuals (Hindu Undivided Families, Partnership Firms, Private & Public Limited Companies, Trusts, Societies, and Associations etc.) can use KYC Form for Non-Individual

Submit the completed form and documents at the Mutual Fund branch office or the nearest CAMS Service Centre after In-person verification (IPV) by an authorized official of Mutual Fund or your Distributor. All documents submitted for KYC (both for individual and non-individual investors) must be self-attested (by the applicant or an authorized signatory in the case of non-individuals).

To Update your Contact Details

Download the KYC Modification Form from the website of your mutual fund house, KYC Registration Agency (KRA), or Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTA)
Fill in the required details and update your new mobile number or email ID.
Attach a self-attested copy of your PAN card
Submit the documents at the Mutual Fund branch office or the nearest CAMS Service Centre.

To Update your Address Details

Download and fill the KYC Modification Form from the mutual fund or KRA website. Provide your new address and attach a self-attested copy of your address proof, such as:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Utility Bill (latest, not older than 3 months)
  • Bank Statement (latest, not older than 3 months)
  • Attach a self-attested copy of your PAN card

Submit the completed form and documents at the Mutual Fund branch office or the nearest CAMS Service Centre after In-person verification (IPV) by an authorized official of Mutual Fund, your Distributor or Bank Manager.

To Update your Bank Account Details

Fill the Bank Mandate Change Form from the mutual fund website or RTA.

Provide your new bank details and attach:

  • Cancelled cheque with your name printed on it both new and old bank accounts (or)
  • A Self attested latest bank statement or passbook copy not older than 3 months (showing your name and account number) (or)
  • Bank Letter duly signed by the Bank Manager

Submit the documents at the Mutual Fund branch office or the nearest CAMS Service Centre.
